Introduction to Our Programs and Services

The Hancock County Agency on Aging offers programs and services to support senior adults in remaining independent and in their own homes as well as to enrich the quality of their lives. 

All individuals of Findlay/Hancock County who are at least 55 years of age are permitted to utilize all agency facilities and programming with the exception of Outreach and Chore services. Chore and Outreach services will be limited to seniors age 60+ (or 55+ if on social security disability).

Senior Center services include:                                                                          Activities: choose from a wide variety of social activities, wellness programs, enrichment and educational programs

Outreach: caregivers support groups, caregivers training series, counseling about and liaison with assistance programs like pharmaceuticals, medical assistance, housing, transportation, and in-home counseling

Chore: home repairs and light maintenance, lawn mowing, snow removal, yard work, heavy cleaning, painting, window washing.

Mobile Meals: home delivered meal service delivered to enrolled seniors.

Senior Cafe: offers lunch Monday through Friday 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Open to all Hancock County seniors 55 or better and their guest.  Lunches are $5.50 per person.   Click here for the Menu

Fitness Center /Exercise Classes: building and maintaining strength, flexibility, and balance is one of the keys to independence and enjoyment of life. The Fitness Center contains a variety of exercise equipment, free weights and Fitness on Request. The exercise classes are held in our exercise studio located on the lower level.

Oct.-May:       M-F 5am-9pm Sat. 7am-7pm Sun. 10am-5pm                                    

June-Sept:     M-F 5am-9pm Sat. 7am-7pm Sun. 11am-4pm
