Activities Coordinator: Betty Rozelle

The Agency’s “Senior Center” is home to a wide range of enrichment and fellowship activities designed to help keep seniors active and involved.  We also take the lead in developing and coordinating programs offered throughout the community at the locations of senior-friendly business partners.

Enrichment and Education Activities:

TRIAD & AARP:  Third Thursdays (see below for times)
Meetings for both organizations are now held on the same day in The Senior Center's multi-purpose room located in the lower level; an elevator is available for your convenience.  Participants are invited to enjoy lunch in The Senior Cafe before the meetings.

    TRIAD: Third Thursday each month at 1:30 pm
TRIAD is a partnership of area seniors, law enforcement, crime prevention, consumer protection agencies.

    AARP:  Third Thursday each month at 12:30 pm
AARP is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization that helps people over 50 improve the quality of their lives.

Computer Classes: Our computer classes are on summer vacation.  Call Betty at 419-423-8496 if you would like to be notified when the next class is scheduled.

Senior Computer Lab:
    HCAOA’s free computer lab is available for seniors’ use most weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm. We have a very basic, teach-yourself-to-use-a-computer software program available for use in our computer lab. See Leni Mueller if you would like to use it.

CRAFTY CORNER
   Open to Adults of any age! Whether you’re a novice or experienced, you’ll find friends willing to teach and to share their favorite crafts.  Bring your current project or let one of our crafty friends get you started on a hobby you can enjoy for life. Our craft groups are informal get-togethers lead by a volunteer crafter. Craft leaders are needed to expand our craft offerings--call Betty if you’d like to start or coordinate a craft group.

Knit & Crochet with Jane:

Wednesdays 10:00-11:00 am

Knitting and crocheting are “in” again!  Whether you’re accomplished with the needles or want to learn how, join us for fun, inspiration and sharing.
