Jet Express to Put-In-Bay and Kelley’s Island
Monday, June 23, 2008

Sailing out of Port Clinton, the Jet Express offers the smoothest ride across Lake Erie. Traveling at speeds of up to 40 mph, you’ll pass seven Lake Erie Islands and many unique points of interest along the scenic 12 ½ mile route.

Put-In-Bay located on South Bass Island, is a colorful, Victorian village boasting a waterfront park, unique shops and eateries. The island offers a number of historic attractions, including a vintage carousel. And, of course, no trip to Put-In-Bay would be complete without a trip to the top of the 352 foot tall Perry’s Monument for a spectacular view.

Kelley’s Island is a nature-lovers’ paradise. Quaint island shops and restaurants offer opportunities to browse or relax. Visit the largest prehistoric glacial grooves in existence or lounge at the state park beach. You can even rent bicycles or golf carts to explore the scenic countryside.

$99 per person includes motorcoach transportation and Jet Express ferry. Meals are on your own.

The Jiffy Mix Factory & Mystery Stop
Chelsea
, Michigan

Friday, August 8, 2008

Everyone had such a great time in February, we’ve been asked to make a return trip to The Jiffy Mix Factory in Chelsea, Michigan.  To spice things up, Betty and Nancy have added a top secret mystery stop to the itinerary.  While we can’t share anything about the mystery stop at this time, we can tell you that the Chelsea Milling Company has been milling flour in Chelsea for one hundred years and making Jiffy Mixes since 1930.  Chelsea is a complete manufacturer, handling the entire process in-house from storing and milling the flour right down to making the readily identifiable Jiffy Mix boxes.  The tour includes a slide presentation, refreshment period and a walk through the packaging plant (some stairs, walking required is about one city block).

Anyone who has ever been on a trip with Betty and Nancy know that it will be a good time…and that the mystery stop is sure to be a memorable one.

$69 per person includes transportation, tours and by special arrangement, each member of our group will receive one of the popular Jiffy Mix sampler cases.   Lunch is on your own.  Paid reservations are due by Tuesday, August 5.
